What services does Sage School provide?
Services include specialized instruction, assessments, behavioral supports, and a range of therapies tailored to student needs. Programs are delivered by a multidisciplinary team that collaborates with families to set measurable goals.
What age or grade levels do you serve?
Sage School supports students across several grade levels based on individual educational needs rather than a strict age cutoff. Placement is determined by the school's intake team after reviewing records and assessments.
How does the enrollment or referral process work?
Enrollment usually begins with an intake meeting and review of educational and medical records, followed by assessments as needed. The team meets with families to discuss placement options and develop an initial plan.
How are Individualized Education Plans developed?
A multidisciplinary team develops Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) after formal assessments and family input. Each plan includes measurable goals, accommodations, and a schedule for progress reviews.
What types of therapies and related supports are available?
Common supports include academic interventions, counseling, behavioral services, and speech and occupational therapy as appropriate to each student's plan. Teams coordinate these services to integrate therapeutic goals with classroom instruction.
How do you communicate student progress to families?
Families receive regular updates through conferences, written reports, and scheduled meetings to review progress. The school encourages ongoing communication to adjust goals and share strategies for home and school consistency.
Who can I contact about placement options and funding?
Placement and funding options vary by situation and source; the school's administrative team can guide families through public placement processes and potential funding avenues. They can also help coordinate evaluations and paperwork needed for eligibility.

We have loved Sage School for our daughter. It is not exactly close to our house but well worth the drive. The administration and teachers are extremely knowledgeable about best practices in educating students with dyslexia. They do so in a nurturing and loving environment. This school has been a blessing for our family and our daughter!

My son attended Sage School for three years. The school helped him so much with his dyslexia and dysgraphia by using the Orton-Gillingham approach. After his three years at Sage School he was able to go back to public school and graduate from high school this past year. He is currently attending Jacksonville State University in Alabama and I can't thank Sage School and it's employees enough for all they did to help him be successful.

I pulled my child from general ed and he is thriving at Sage. His confidence has soared and he no longer dreads going to school.
